The Traditional Handicrafts Program was established in order to examine the changes experienced by Turkish Handicrafts, to make researches and applications on the aesthetic, scientific and technological aspects of handicraft branches, maintenance and repair, reproduction variations in accordance with the original, and to train professional staff to develop our handicrafts.
Güzelyurt is rich in historical texture and handicrafts, and enables students to practice adequately. The number of students who have graduated from the program will be preferred by DGS. Their orientation is also easy.
After two years of training, weaving, painting, maintenance and repair, pattern, knitting, ebru knowledgeable intermediate elements are trained in the field. Students who graduate from the program have the opportunity to find a job as a master instructor in the factories, Public Training Centers. In addition, some of the graduates prefer to work on souvenirs free of charge.
